NOTICE OF TOWN COUNCIL ELECTION

NOTICE OF SOLICITATION FOR CANDIDATES

NOTICE OF REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

The Annual Election for the Town of Selbyville Town Council shall be held in the Selbyville Town Hall, 68 West Church Street, Selbyville, Delaware, on Saturday, March 6, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., prevailing time.

Filing Notice of Candidacy: Two (2) Town Council Members shall be elected, each for a term of two (2) years. Anyone wishing to file as a candidate for the election must file a written Notice of Candidacy in the Town Hall no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Forms will be provided to interested parties at the Town Hall.

Candidacy Requirements: Candidates for the Town Council must meet all the following requirements: Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age; be a U.S. citizen; and shall have been a bona fide resident of the Town for a period of at least one (1) year prior to the date of the election.

Voter Registration: If a qualified voter is not registered with the Town, such voter may register at the Town Hall no later than Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at 4:30 p.m. To qualify to vote, one must: Be at least eighteen (18) years of age; be a U.S. citizen; and be a bona fide resident of the Town.
